BCREA's Role in Real Estate Education

BCREA plays two important roles in real estate education in BC. Working closely with the Real Estate Council of British Columbia, the Association develops and delivers the Applied Practice Courses, which are required for new licensees. BCREA also develops courses for the Professional Development Program, which is required continuing education for REALTORS®.

Applied Practice Courses
As the second step in the real estate licensing education process, new licencees are required to take either the Residential or Commercial Trading Services Applied Practice Course. Learners will take part in online modules, face-to-face sessions and practical field assignments. The Applied Practice Course has four components which are completed over a six-month timeframe.

The applied practices courses were developed by BCREA and are offered at various locations throughout the province. Instructors are experienced real estate professionals trained in instructional methods.
