Professional Standards Enforcement: Practices and Procedures

6 PDP Credits – 1 or 2 days

Every year thousands of hours are spent handling business practice complaints from members of the public and from board members. In this course you will:

  • streamline the handling of complaints and the hearing process;
  • review the Business Practices Committee requirements for handling complaints;
  • discuss how this procedure varies from board to board; and
  • consider some common elements such as initial review of the complaint by the committee, the investigation, determine potential breaches, the hearing procedure and the decision.

This practical course is designed to give you as much confidence and experience as possible by incorporating role playing in the class.
