Thank you for your interest in licensing BCREA Standard Forms.
BCREA will consider provincial licensing of BCREA Standard Forms and Clauses that are solely owned by BCREA, and/or forms that are jointly owned by BCREA and the Canadian Bar Association BC Branch (CBABC) (collectively, “BCREA Resources”) to Technology Providers, where the Application by the Technology Provider is supported by all member boards or associations and all of BCREA’s criteria for licensing BCREA Resources have been met by the Technology Provider (“Applicant”). BCREA licences will be granted on a calendar year basis.
The rights granted pursuant to any licence agreement from BCREA will not grant the Applicant rights (or guarantee that the Applicant will be able to obtain rights) for the use of any member board forms or data. Even where the eight member boards or associations support licensing, that by supporting the application, it does not mean that any of them or any brokerage or REALTOR® must enter into any agreements with, and/or use the services provided by the Applicant.
Completed Applications need to be submitted electronically and any questions should be sent to:

BCREA will follow its Process to Licence To Technology Providers.
BCREA will endeavor to review and consider an application from an Applicant within 90 – 120 days after the last of the pre-condition steps has occurred, so long as the Application is complete and includes all required information and documents.
BCREA requires support from all eight member boards or associations to consider licensing BCREA Resources to Applicants. Documentation will be required from all member boards indicating support for BCREA to licence to a particular Technology Provider.
(Note: that by supporting the Application, it does not bind member boards or associations, brokerages or REALTORS® to enter into any agreements and/or use the third-party services.)
The Applicant pays the Initial Application Fee before BCREA considers the Application. BCREA will use the information contained in the Application and provide an invoice to the Applicant.
If successful, BCREA will inform the Applicant, and the Applicant will:
If the initial term commences after January 1, the initial term’s Annual Administration Fee will be prorated on a daily basis for that initial term. The Applicant is aware that it is required to pay BCREA the Annual Administration Fee for all years of the licence term after the initial term (each a “Subsequent Year”) on or before December 15 of the year immediately prior to the commencement of the Subsequent Year if the licence is extended for a Subsequent Year.
As of January 1, 2023, the current amounts for the Performance Bond and fees are as follows:
All such amounts are subject to BCREA’s ongoing review and are subject to change at BCREA’s discretion.
BCREA reserves the right to close and discontinue its review of:
BCREA will not refund any fees: Initial Application Fee, Initial Licence Fees, Annual Administration fees or other related fees paid by an Applicant, regardless of whether the Application is approved or in the case of a Closed Application, or if approved, and the licence is terminated for any reason prior to the end of the current term (or extended term).
By submitting this Application, I affirm as the Technology Provider that our organization is financially stable, and we can provide adequate training, software support and infrastructure for BCREA Resources.
Thank you for your submission.
